David Hall

David Hall is jazz musician and educator from the UK.

David studied at Cambridge University, where he held an Organ Scholarship at Corpus Christi College, and at the Royal Academy of Music in London. At Cambridge, he played alto sax in the University "Fitz" Swing Band and led several small bands. He now directs and writes for the Black Cat Big Band. The Black Cats play regularly at the Concorde Club in the UK, often featuring David's own charts and vocal arrangements.

David is Musical Director of Finchcocks Piano Courses. Finchcocks is an amazing Grade I listed home in the Kent countryside. It is home to eight grand pianos. David - along with a team of other teachers - runs weekend courses on classical piano and jazz piano.

David is Director of Music at Twyford School in Hampshire where he runs a youth jazz band alongside the Orchestras, choirs and chamber music ensembles.

David Halliday is known as one of the finest saxophonists in the Mountain West and has performed in virtually every venue the area has to offer.

Halliday makes his long overdue headlining concert debut at the Jeanne Wagner Theatre on May 2 at 7:30pm with a quartet comprised of Utah's finest jazz musicians: Dan Waldis on piano, Evan Coombs on bass, and Steve Lyman on drums.
