DAVID HURN

Debut single 'Sick Of Hate' was released in 1999 on Day Release records, swiftly followed by live performances across London and Berlin. Signed to Fire Records in 2001 and opened shows for, amongst others, Mark Eitzel and British Sea Power. Debut album 'He Was A Woman' was released in 2002, followed by the critically acclaimed 'No Love' E.P. In 2004 David performed at SXSW festival in Texas, recorded a number of sessions for BBC Radio, and composed music for a series of short experimental films.

A ltd edition CD single 'I'm Spending Christmas With Jesus This Year' was released at the close of 2005 and was described by the Western Mail as 'Probably the most tragic christmas song ever produced.' After a myriad of singles, ep's and collaborations, including a contribution to 'Chamber Music', a tribute album to James Joyce (featuring Sonic Youth, Ed Harcourt, Magnetic Fields, Mercury Rev, & many others)

David's second full length vocal album, 'The Beautiful Trustful Future' was released in March 2008 on Fire Records, and features the 7" single 'The Man Who Stayed In Bed Forever'. A special ltd edition CD album titled 'Black Flowers' (four track instrumental recordings '97-98) was released in February 2010 on Trace Recordings. Summer and winter tours of Poland were undertaken in 2010, along with a 3 week trip to New Hampshire to continue writing and recording with Ingrid Chavez.

A third album of songs, 'Patron Saint of Missing' was completed in in 2012, but remains unreleased.

A founder member of free improvisation group Four Seasons Television, who released their debut album 'Skip All' in 2013. A new instrumental E.P. titled 'The Glaze' was made available as a download on Bandcamp in 2013. A ltd edition CD was released in 2014 titled 'Museum of You', followed by an appearance at the Opole Songwriters Festival in Poland.

David recently collaborated with Abigail Hopkins on a piece for a project setting the James Joyce book 'Finnegans Wake' to music. This will be released by Waywords and Meansigns on May 4th 2017. A new vocal album 'Private Ruins (Vol 1)' is set to be released in May 2017.
