Eduardo Elia

Eduardo Elia has released eight albums,: “Callado” (2008), “El yang y el yang” (2011), “We see” (2012), “Figuras de un solo trazo” (2015) , "Solo" (2016), "Cuando sea necesario" (2019) , and “Lejos del torbellino” (2020), by the BlueArt Records label, and the recently released by the New York based label 577 Records “The art of not faling – Improvisations on Schoenberg’s Op 19 piano pieces”, for which he was recognized as "Pianist of the Year" in the survey conducted by the specialized web site El Intruso, to argentine journalists. He participated in the Córdoba Jazz Festival with his own projects and accompanying international artists such as Darmon Meader (The NY Voices), Horacio Fumero, David Xirgu (Barcelona) and Donald Harrison, among others. He was part of the Buenos Aires Jazz 2011 and 2016, and he regularly performs in Córdoba and other provinces of the country with his own projects or those of other musicians. Parallel to his artistic activity, he has developed a constant and committed activity in the educational field, working as a teacher at La Colmena School of Music, the Córdoba Jazz Camp, giving private lessons, workshops and clinics, and since 2002 in the Licenciatura en Composición Musical con Orientación en Música Popular at the Universidad Nacional de Villa María, of which he is currently Director.

Eduardo Elia lleva editados ocho discos: “Callado” (2008), “El yang y el yang” (2011), "We see" (2012), "Figuras de un solo trazo" (2015), "Solo" (2016), "Cuando sea necesario" (2019) , y Lejos del torbellino (2020) editados por el sello BlueArt Records, y el recientemente editado por el sello neoyorquino 577 Records “The art of not faling – Improvisations on Schoenberg’s Op 19 piano pieces”, por el que fue reconocido como “Pianista del año” en la encuesta realizada por el sitio especializado El Intruso, a periodistas argentinos Participó desde su inicio en las ediciones del Córdoba Jazz Festival con proyectos propios y acompañando a artistas internacionales como Darmon Meader (The NY Voices), Horacio Fumero, David Xirgu (Barcelona) y Donald Harrison, entre otros. Formó parte del Buenos Aires Jazz 2011 y 2016, y se presenta habitualmente en Córdoba y otras provincias del país con proyectos propios o de otros músicos. Paralelamente a su actividad artística, ha desarrollado una constante y comprometida actividad en el ámbito educativo, desempeñándose como docente en La Colmena Escuela de Música, el Córdoba Jazz Camp, dictando clases particulares, talleres y clínicas, y desde el año 2002 en la Licenciatura en Composición Musical con Orientación en Música Popular de la Universidad Nacional de Villa María, Licenciatura de la cual actualmente es Coordinador.
