Elijah Cole

Elijah Cole is one of the premier young jazz musicians in the Washington, D.C. area. At the age of 16, he has already performed at the area's top jazz clubs, including Twins, HR-57, Blues Alley, and Dukem. As a member of the Capital Focus Jazz Band and the Jazz Academy Orchestra, he has traveled from New Orleans to San Diego, performing at the famous Preservation Hall and backing artists such as Terrell Stafford and Brian Lynch. Additionally, he has played with many of his influences on the guitar, including Russell Malone, John Pizzarelli, and Carl LeBlanc.

This year, Elijah has been selected as the guitarist in the 2015 Maryland All-State Jazz ensemble, for Jazz at Lincoln Center's summer institute for advanced jazz study, for the Brubeck Institute's Summer Jazz Colony, and as the alternate guitarist for the Jazz Band of America.
