Fabrice MOURLON

After studying classical music and practicing the piano for 10 years, Fabrice Mourlon joined the Jazz Class at the Pantin School of Music (near Paris) as a pianist first and subsequently as a vocalist. In 1994 he trained as a vocalist only with Italian Jazz Singer Valentina Casula and was a member of her workshop for 5 years. In 2002, 2003 and 2004 he followed a number of workshops: Maria Pia De Vito's class at the Nuoro Jazz Festival in Sardinia, Roger Letson's class in Paris. Between 2001 and 2003, he was in charge of the Vocal Jazz Jam Session at the Café Universel (Paris). He met the musicians which would form his current quartet in 2001: Richard Razafindrakoto (p), Christophe Richard (db), Thierry Tardieu (d). They have been playing in various jazz clubs in Paris: Café Universel, Studio des Islettes, Les 7 Lézards, Le Franc Pinot, Le Baiser Salé, Sunset-Sunside. Fabrice has also played with musicians such as Nico Morelli, Eric Leboucher- Radiguet, Sébastien Jimenez, Emmanuel Brunet, Anne Corbier, Scott Flanigan and Linley Hamilton He plays his own compositions, modern jazz standards, and traditional music.
