George Bouchard
He moved to New York in 1977 and began teaching at the college level, where he is now a full Professor at Nassau Community College, on Long Island.
He has been affiliated with the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Camps since coming to New York, and Jamey's company published George's popular and critically acclaimed book, Intermediate Jazz Improvisation.
From life experiences in the Big Apple and in the South, George gathered enough material to use for the stories in his recently released cd, Mellow Lane. He continues to teach, play, and travel to conduct jazz workshops in the summertime.
George lives with his son Derek, and their two cats, Sparkie and Vicki, in Westbury, NY.

Saxophonist George Bouchard was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Bouchard completed a degree in Economics at the University of Buffalo and then joined the Navy where he was a musician in the service for the next four years. During this time, Bouchard completed the Berklee School of Music correspondence course in arranging.
