George Bouchard

George Bouchard was born in Buffalo, New York, and received a master's degree in Music Composition from Memphis State University in 1971.

He moved to New York in 1977 and began teaching at the college level, where he is now a full Professor at Nassau Community College, on Long Island.

He has been affiliated with the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Camps since coming to New York, and Jamey's company published George's popular and critically acclaimed book, Intermediate Jazz Improvisation.

George lives with his son Derek, and their two cats, Sparkie and Vicki, in Westbury, NY.
