Jake Koelzer

Singer/songwriter and jazz vocalist Jake Koelzer, 21. Originally from Montana, Koelzer attended Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music, and in 2010 released his debut album, "Quarter Two Three." A collection of original compositions, blending styles of Jazz, Pop, and R&B. Lively Times wrote, "Koelzer already conjures the low-light ambience of hip uptown nightclubs and large downtown ballrooms, exuding confidence from flawless technique and spot-on intonation." Jake studied voice and piano with Jeni Fleming, Daniela Schachter, and Gwendolyn Leathers. He has been featured with numerous Trios, Combos, and Big Bands, as well as opening for the legendary Nancy King. Koelzer is currently performing with his 5-piece ensemble, and working on his follow-up record.
