Jamille “Jam” Hunter (731)217-5899 (901) 375-0598

Who am I? I AM JAM!! Jamille “JAM” Hunter lives and breathes music. Bound and determined to keep vocal jazz alive, JAM has risen and emerged as the new voice in Jazz music. Training with jazz greats Billy Higgins, Al McKibbon and Dini Clarke at the World Stage in Los Angeles, JAM gained invaluable experience and appreciation for the classics of vocal jazz. As a songwriter, JAM writes with a flair of old style meets new age. JAM has graced many stages from Dodger stadium to Nagoya, Japan and continues to push towards excellence and mastery. She prides herself for versatility, regularly exercising her chops in the R&B, Gospel and Neo-Soul genres in addition to jazz. JAM has been a member of numerous bands including Majesty, Primetime, Traffic Jam, Nia, Ecstasy, Everlasting, JAM feat. Trump Tight, JAM feat. Encore, the M.I.B house band (in Japan), Anointed Praise, Quest, and the list goes on. She has also sung with Opera Memphis, on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show, as a contestant on the Memphis Star Challenge, and was a part of Denny’s Re-ignite the Dream campaign. Always seeking the next musical challenge, JAM recently performed a full concert tribute to the late Sarah “Sassy” Vaughan. The sold out crowd produced rave reviews and many statements that ‘Sassy would have been pleased!’ Gaining inspiration from Sarah, Ella, Stevie Wonder, Dianne Reeves, Jill Scott and Earth Wind & Fire, JAM creates music that she hopes will uplift spirits and invoke meaningful reflection. JAM’s recent EP release features songs all written by JAM herself, displaying a range of styles from jazz to neo-soul to easy listening to love songs. She is ready to present herself to the world with the simple yet thought provoking statement of “I AM JAM.”
