Fiona Joy Hawkins: Moving Through Worlds

Read "Moving Through Worlds" reviewed by Robin B James

This is a great time for something brighter and lighter, something that brings some ease to the weary listener, who is seeking feelings of harmony and simple respite from a troubled world. The gifted composer, singer, and pianist Fiona Joy Hawkins has just the thing, an album titled Moving Through Worlds, an enchanting exploration of themes such as land, water, fire, climate change and the vanishing of souls into the wind. Jeff Oster: An Emotional Journey into Sound

Read "Jeff Oster: An Emotional Journey into Sound" reviewed by Jakob Baekgaard

Everything begins with sound. It is no coincidence that one of the theories of how the universe was created is called The Big Bang. You can almost hear the thunder in the name. Sound is creation. Sound is life. One way of defining a musician is to say that it is a person who shapes sound into certain patterns. When these patterns become recognizable, they evolve into genres and suddenly an identity is created. You become a ...

Take Five with Jeff Oster

With Next, Jeff creates a new genre--New Age Ambient Funk--and along for the ride are guitarist ...

"Loved playing with you. You're a brilliant musician...and that tone, gimmie a break!" - Nile Rodgers

"Jeff Oster has always amazed me. Anyone who sounds like no one else amazes me, but a guy who grows so stunningly as a composer and player in the space of a few years inspires nothing but awe. NEXT is a step in musical evolution from where we last heard from Jeff… rather like the apes harnessing fire and inventing French cuisine. It’s a joy as his friend and co-producer to watch someone you love and respect grow into an artist of true importance and significance in a world of background noise. Listen to this. It matters." - Will Ackerman
