"Swing-A-Nova"
A wild mix of classic Latin and classic jazz delivered in a post-bop, breakneck speed performance, the crew delivers
their hottest stuff yet. A great roller coaster ride right down the middle, they have no agenda but to play great and
make sure a grand time is had by all. Without a note out of place, this is the kind of bunch that can bring a party to a
stand still as everyone just gathers around the bandstand. Hot stuff throughout.
— Chris Spector, The Midwest Record
This is consistently an exciting and most impressive album, where the music is idiomatic and technically immaculate
and refreshingly free of the idiosyncrasies that so many of today’s jazz musicians bring to the music... with first-rate
musicians Josh Feldstein (drums), Steve Einerson (piano), Elias Bailey (bass)...and [the] excellent and flexible
trumpeter...Tatum Greenblatt.

– Jean-Keith Fagon, The Jazz Project
A charming straight-ahead session that features a potpourri of bop and bossa/Latin jazz favs, which capitalizes on this
energetic trio’s technique. Toss in trumpeter Tatum Greenblatt on three tracks, and that results in a quality exploration
of the material.

"East End Sojourn"
East End Sojourn is an award-winning jazz album of contemporary beauty and poetic artistry.

In April of 2013, the Verve Jazz Ensemble released their first album It’s About Time to rave reviews from critics and jazz
lovers everywhere. Exactly one year later, the group follows up on their amazing debut by unveiling East End Sojourn,
an exciting second effort featuring new creative arrangements, more reimagined standards, a couple of original
statements and the inclusion of guitarist luminary Peter Bernstein as special guest. The bop and post-bop grooves of
the first recording are very much in play here with Jonathan Blanck’s sizzling tenor, Tatum Greenblatt’s soaring trumpet,
and a tight rhythm section—all providing a swinging sound and a wish that this short sojourn, had encompassed more
time.

"It's About Time"
In 2006 drummer Josh Feldstein established the Verve Jazz Ensemble, a
contemporary jazz group playing standards and straight ahead material in the
finest venues throughout the Connecticut area... The Verve
Jazz Ensemble delivers quite an attention-grabbing first effort drawing
inspiration for an encore performance... An all-around solid performance from
the Verve Jazz Ensemble, Feldstein and group lay down one impressive recording
with It's About Time making the wait well worth it.
— Ed Blanco, "All About Jazz"
Here's a bunch of young lions that have put in their time and are now serving up totally awesome results.
They aren't in the tradition, they are right in the pocket. Showing how retro can be a very good
thing when you can't improve on perfection, this sounds like those Jai & Kai
dates you found cleaning out your grandparents basement that had you
wondering how they were once so hip and you never knew it. Smoking,
contemporary mainstream jazz that is just so right you almost won't be able to
stand it—-in a good way. Hot stuff that really delivers.
