Karlis Auzins

Karlis is Latvian born jazz/improvised music saxophonist and composer. He has studied his bachelor's degree in the Conservatory of Amsterdam, The Netherlands and master's degree at Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen. Mostly involved with contemporary jazz and improvised music.

Awards

with Keno Harriehausen Quartet” laureates in International Zeeland Jazz Award 2013, Ujazz Award 2013 and Mechelen Jazzcontest 2014. Album "Images in Regard of the Central Reference System" was nominated as the best jazz album and the best debut at Latvian Music Record Awards "Zelta Mikrofons" 2017 Album "Baltic" was named the best jazz album at Latvian Music Record Awards "Zelta Mikrofons" 2019.
