Marc Willis
Marc began the study of music at the age of eight, first starting with the trumpet, then quickly moving to the guitar. He wrote several hard rock and jazz pieces on guitar, but never joined a band or pursued a career in music. Four and a half years ago, while studying physics in college, Marc took a beginning piano class. Within six months, it became obvious Marc was born to play the piano! He began to compose piece after piece, each more complex and dynamic than the last. Four and a half years later, Marc has composed enough music for several CDs, and continues to compose new material at an amazing rate! In the fall of 2003, Marc was persuaded to launch a professional career, and has already had several brilliant performances and has sparked great interest in his music. The sky is the limit for this incredibly talented pianist/composer!
Marc's CD, Ocean Blue, contains nine tracks. Each piece is classical, and many have jazz overtones in them. Marc is extremely innovative in the use of jazz themes within classical music. Ocean Blue is a must buy for anyone who loves music!
