Nelson Garcia
Nelson Garcia is a solid successful Gospel Saxophone recording artist who has been in the music industry for 18 years. He is a new and aspiring professional saxophonist to many, and has rapidly expanded his skills and reputation the last few year as a solo artist in Latin gospel, POP and funk music genres In Connecticut. He has been playing saxophone since the age of 15. Growing up in Moca, Puerto Rico where he took saxophone lessons with Julio Vasquez. While in P.R., he participated in various events with his local high school band winning two nominations in the Band of Honor orchestra with the San German Puerto Rico for "Outstanding musicianship". This event took place in the Inter American University in San German P.R. After graduating high school, he continued on his own, playing saxophone with bands across the island, with some Merengue bands including "Las Chicas de Puerto Rico", "Las Chicas del Clan" ,"Los Cucos de Tono Rosario", "Los Reyes de Puerto Rico", "Jacinto" to name a few. After a few years of performing and studying music, he decided to continue his musical career as a professional saxophonist in gospel music. In 2009, Nelson released his first solo CD album titled "El Poder de tu Amor" which gained a recognition in the US and sold over 4,000 copies in 2 years. In 1997 he moved to USA, and after 15 years, met Melvin Llord (CEO/ Founder of MyMusicTalk.com) Working with Melvin was a major factor impacting him positively for a number of years .
