Pedro de Alcantara
The artist has also been awarded for his works with publicity. His jingles and soundtracks won the “Colibri Award” (ES) and “Catarina Award” (SC) Some significant recordings can be heard on Ivan Lins “Dois Corregos”, arranged by Nelson Ayres; and on Carie Lindenberg`s “Esperei Por Voce”, with Gilson Peranzzetta, Mauro Senise, Tito Madi, Claudia Telles and many others.
On “Palco Iluminado”, we can hear the acoustic piano trio on its best. This CD, recorded live at “Carlos Gomes Theatre”, is an example of the accuracy and good taste of the pianist, accompanied by two icons of Vitória`s jazz scene: Afonso Abreu (acoustic bass) and Marco Antçnio Grijó (drums). After more than thirty participations in other artists CD`s (see Discography), Pedro de Alcantara is now releasing his first solo album “Pedra Coracao”, where the artist shows all his versatility of styles and technics, with original composition and arrangements and a smooth brasilian accent.
