Richard Fuller Quartet
The bands high energy live performance gained them interest from venues and festivals throughout the city, as they performed original compositions and offered a fresh take on standards. With a slight shift in personnel during 2007 (adding guitar and keys) RFQ have gone on to gain even more popularity in the St. Louis Jazz scene. Being the only "jazz" group included on illumina records "Rockers for Life" compilation CD, RFQ continue to fill a niche that is uniquely their own. The band recorded it's second full length CD during 2007 and demand attention with each live performance.
An up and coming Jazz Group based in St. Louis the Richard Fuller Quartet is high energy Jazz from start to finish. Their orginal compositions and arrangments have a unique mix of traditional jazz elements and contemporary rock appeal that make RFQ one of the hottest groups in St. Louis.
Their Original song "Pessimistic Panda" is going to be featured on Illumina Records "Rockers For Life 2007" album making RFQ the only Jazz group to be on one of these Albums, EVER! Yet again bridging the gap between traditional and contemporary. RFQ has also been featured on KSDK Show Me St. Louis TV Program, the St. Louis Zoo Jungle Boogie Concert Series and The Loop In Motion Festival for two years in a row!
