Steve Bellamy

Producer/recording engineer Steve Bellamy has engineered or produced more than 200 commercial albums and hundreds of concert recordings. He has worked with many US and Canadian artists including Donny McCaslin, Mike Downes, Anton Kuerti, Isabel Bayrakdarian, James Ehnes, the Gryphon Trio, Tafelmusik, Kenny Wheeler, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Edgar Meyer, Kirk MacDonald, Ted Quinlan, Brian Dickinson, John Stetch, Kieran Overs, Chet Doxas, Jim Doxas, Dave Douglas, Steve Swallow, and Sheila Jordan. Many of his recordings have received JUNO awards and nominations.

In 2009 Steve created Addo Records, a JUNO-winning label that produced more than 30 albums. He has taught music recording and producing at Humber College, McGill University, The Banff Centre for the Arts, and The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. He was dean of the School of Creative & Performing Arts at Humber College in Toronto, and in 2018 became CEO at Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown.

Awards

Several albums engineered or produced by Steve Bellamy have won or been nominated for Canada's JUNO award.
