Tarik Hassan
Some of the great artists that Tarik has performed with include Jason Marsalis, Andre Hayward, Bruce Saunders, Irvin Mayfield, Ed Petersen, Steve Masakowski, Johnny Vidacovich, Marlon Jordan, Delfeayo Marsalis, Brian Seegar, Troy Davis, David Torkanowsky, Tony Degradi, and many other fine musicians. He has performed extensively in the States and in Europe at such fine venues as Snug Harbor, New Orleans; the Spotted Cat, New Orleans; The House of Blues, New Orleans; The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, Las Vegas; New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival; Les Cultures du Monde, France; Elephant Room, Austin, TX; Exit Cafe, Rotterdam, NL; and many others.
In 2010 Tarik independently released his self titled debut recording. It was well received by critics and the jazz community alike.

Credentials/Background
Since 2016 Tarik Hassan has held the position of Instructor of Bass at Temple Junior College in Temple, Texas, where he also teaches courses in Music Appreciation. In addition to teaching at the collegiate level he maintains a private studio. In 2016 he earned his Doctorate in Music with an Emphasis in Performance in Jazz for the University of Texas at Austin. In 2009 he earned a Masters in Music - Jazz Studies from the University of New Orleans
