Glenn Barton

Formed in the fall of 2007 when brothers Sean Dougherty (guitar) and Kevin Dougherty (bass) were encouraged by their music instructor (Christopher Vance) to learn jazz standards. They formed a jazz trio called Uncle Melon with their life long friend Scott Parker, and had their debut gig at The Winchester in Lakewood, OH soon afterward.

Sean discovered that his co-worker Glenn Barton had a mutual interest in jazz and some experience playing tenor sax in high school and college concert and jazz bands, and invited him to a rehearsal in November of 2007. Glenn clicked with the group right away, and the trio became a quartet.
