The Discordian Trio

The Discordian Trio, hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland, comprises of Jack Weir (23) - guitar, Craig Macfadyen (23) - bass, and Richard Kass (21) - Drums. The band display a forward thinking approach to jazz, combining a daring mixture of influences, from the traditional to the avant-garde. Their blend of fusion and free jazz is often coupled with a hard-edged intensity that lends itself well to the “power trio” format.

The Discordian Trio formed in Edinburgh in 2008. releasing its eponymous debut on Fabrikant Records the same year. Hazlos Manzanos is the band's third album, a varied and fascinating collection with an eccentric edge. Young jazz explorers The Discordian Trio have just released their debut album entitled “The Discordian Trio Presents The Discordian Trio” (Fabrikant Records), which was recorded, mixed and mastered in August 2009.
