Three Blind Mice

Three Blind Mice is Victor North- saxophones, Lucas Brown- organ, and Wayne Smith Jr.- drums.

Formed in the early 2000's by the intuition of Victor North, the trio's chemistry was immediate and thus began what would become Three Blind Mice: a modern organ trio steeped in the traditions of Jazz.

Originally hailing from Alaska, the now long-time transplant Victor teamed up with Philadelphians Lucas Brown and Wayne Smith, both of whom persevere to carry on the great tradition of rhythm section players from their hometown. Together the three have forged their own sound and feature an expansive repertoire that is constantly growing with new original compositions. And additionally, on any given night, you may hear them paying homage to their many influences, playing the music of greats like John Coltrane, Hank Mobley, Larry Young or Wes Montgomery, as well as contemporary artists such as Peter Bernstein.

But what is really unique about this group is the dynamic interplay, the intent listening, the infectious swing, the entire unit, each part moving separately but always together as one.
