Born in Trinidad & Tobago, Guppy currently resides in Japan. He is actively performing and touring with a wide variety of musicians in various venues throughout Japan.
He is also a Steelpan instructor/educator and an ardent promoter of the steelpan Instrument
A versatile pannist who is equally at home performing music of various genres has performing with trinidad's legendary singer, (Kitchener (Calypso / Soca). Japan's leading artists, such as, Toku, Moria Junko (jazz), Matsuoka Naoya, Carlos Kanoh (Latin), Guitarist Char (Rock/blues) American bassist, Paul Jackson (Funk) and more....
... Bassist, Takahashi Getao (Crystal Jazz Latino), Murakami "Ponta "Shuichi, Wada Akira, Hideaki Kanazawa, Shiho (Fried Pride), Gen Ogimi, Hiroyuki Noritake Dairo Miyamoto (Pink Bongo Band), vocalist Charito... just to name a few.
As a "Pannist" Guppy has performed in a wide variety of musical settings nationally and internationally. His interest in music, and different world cultures has taken him on many musical journeys throughout Europe, Asia, North America and the neighboring Caribbean Islands.
