GM Recordings is proud to announce an exciting new recording from Trio This entitled That (GM3050CD) to be released this December 2009. This is a collaborative project between Schuller and McAll, their first trio recording featuring originals from both composers as well as thoughtful re- examinations of works by Wayne Shorter, Henry Mancini, Les McCann as well as a rare English hymn by Geoffrey Shaw.

On Friday, April 25th, Firehouse 12's ongoing 2008 Spring Jazz Series will present a two-set performance by Andy LaVerne's One Of A Kind. This unusual trio, led by veteran pianist/composer Andy LaVerne, features organist Brian Charette (sitting in on this gig for trio regular Gary Versace) and drummer Anthony Pinciotti. On Friday, September 28th, New Haven's Firehouse 12 will present a two-set performance by New York-based drummer/composer Ted Poor and his new trio featuring saxophonist Loren Stillman (sitting in for Chris Potter for this performance) and bassist Scott Colley. Poor, who first played Firehouse 12 last October with the David Berkman Quartet, formed this chord-less group earlier this year to perform a new book of his original compositions featuring loose harmonies and plenty of room for improvisation.
