Túlio Augusto is Brazilian musician who holds a Bachelor degree in Composition and Conducting at the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil), Master in Music Composition at University of Aveiro (Portugal), Master in Music Education (Analysis and Composition Techniques) at University of Aveiro, and is pursuing a PhD in Composition at the University of Aveiro.
Founder member of OCA (Oficina de Composição Agora), he has participated in cultural projects in several countries (such as Brazil, Portugal, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, England, Israel, France, Spain, Denmark, Qatar and Italy). As a composer, arranger, and performer in the fields of jazz music, contemporary classical music and music education fields, his work has been performed by ensembles such as ICE (International Contemporary Ensemble), Orchestra of the Universidade Federal da Bahia, Ilê Ayiê, Roberto Mendes, Performa Ensemble, DME Ensemble, Duo Robatto, Cron Group, Ensemble MAB; besides playing in groups like Samba Chula de São Braz, Alex Pochat & the 5 Elements, Dão & a Caravanablack.
Tulio’s first solo album, Blue Spell, was released in February 2017. Blue Spell is a concept album that carries with it the true meaning of magic: transcendence of consciousness.

Túlio Augusto é um músico brasileiro graduado em Composição e Regência pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (Brasil), mestre em Composição Musical pela Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal), mestre em Ensino de Música (Análise e Técnicas de Composição), e doutorando em Composição pela Universidade de Aveiro.
Membro fundador da OCA (Associação Civil Oficina de Composição Agora), participou de projetos culturais em mais de dez países (Brasil, Portugal, Suécia, Holanda, Bélgica, Inglaterra, Israel, França, Espanha, Dinamarca, Qatar e Itália). Atuando como compositor, arranjador, e instrumentista nas vertentes erudita e popular, seu trabalho tem sido executado por ensembles como o ICE (International Contemporary Ensemble), Orquestra da Universidade Federal da Bahia, Ilê Ayiê, Roberto Mendes, Performa Ensemble, Ensemble DME, Duo Robatto, Grupo Cron, Ensemble MAB; além de tocar em grupos como Samba Chula de São Braz, Alex Pochat & os 5 Elementos, Dão & a Caravanablack.
