Valentín Caamaño

Valentín Caamaño Tubío is a guitarist, vocalist and composer born in Santiago de Compostela. He began playing guitar during his childhood in Oviedo, but his music career begins with his move to Santiago.

He has the Professional Diploma in Jazz and Modern Music in the Estudio Escola de Música in Santiago de Compostela and participated in several of the annual performances of the Seminario Permanente de Jazz de Pontevedra, directed by Paco Charlín, and in several master classes.

He currently leads several projects in which Valentín Caamaño Quartet stands out (with Xosé Miguélez on tenor sax, Alfonso Calvo on the double bass and Miguel Cabana on the drums).

His musical proposal has been embodied in "The Joy" (FreeCode Jazz Records, 2014), "Green With Envy" (FreeCode Jazz Records, 2017), “The Blind Wrestler” (Tiny Moon Records, 2017) and his recent one “All The Gods” (Tiny Moon Records, 2022)
