Dmitry Vasiliev

Dmitry Vasiliev is an outstanding Russian jazz multi-instrumentalist. His unique ability of improvising with voice and any instrument at the same time, the bright talent of playing, composing and arranging music make him a demanded musician, who works in various genres and roles.

He's based in Saint-Petersburg, where he has finished Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory as a bouble bass player. As a teacher, he give the classes of arranging in School of music named after Mussorgsky. Dmitry has his own ensemble called "Empathy Project", also he is a member of "Classicize" by Irina Chehova, "The Acoustic Trio" in collaboration with Alexander Feldman and Igor Lozhevsky and the bal-folk project "Ember" by Dmitry Petrov, and a session singer/bass player in many other projects.
