Dominic Vance

Dominic Vance is a 17-year-old jazz drummer from the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area. Trained in classical piano from the age of 6, he took up the drum set at 11 years old. His influences range from post- bop (Miles Davis, Art Blakey) to fusion (Weather Report, Chick Corea) to R&B and hip-hop (Stevie Wonder, Robert Glasper, Anderson .Paak).

Dominic has performed at numerous venues and festivals, including Blues Alley, the National Geographic Museum, Columbia Lakefront Stage, the DC Jazz Festival, the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, the Big Band Jam @ the National Mall, and the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Jazz Festival. He has also performed with musicians such as Brian Lynch, Carmen Bradford, and Paul Carr.
