Dylan Kay
A freelance guitarist based in London, he works with various singers, bands and is currently writes and performs with 1224 Project (http://www.1224project.co.uk). The band's debut CD "What Happened to the Foot" is released in Nov 2010.
1224 Project is a London-based guitar-bass-drums trio that writes and performs electrifying, groove-fuelled contemporary jazz. Long-standing collaborators Dylan Kay, David Bouet and Leslee Booth have played together in various projects over the years, forming 1224 Project in 2008 as a vehicle for their original compositions. The music is carefully crafted in regular rehearsals and features odd meters, occasional slide guitar and effects, 6-string bass and death- defying drumming.
Dylan also manages a busy teaching schedule, which includes working at the Guitar Institute in London. His music has been played at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York and on UK and Swedish radio.
