Eugene Portman

My name is Eugene Portman and I am a UK based jazz pianist living in Surrey and working mostly in South-East England. I do, however, work in the north of England quite a lot and this usually gives me the opportunity to stay with my family in Yorkshire. My involvement in the contemporary & jazz music scene includes performing as a soloist, ensemble player & as an accompanist of singers.

Some people would describe me as a jazz pianist while others would say that I am a cocktail pianist. What is for sure, is that I am no modernist
