Album Description

Jakob Sørensen has formed the trio FABEL. Simplicity og musical storytelling is in pride of place. Fabel is inspired by the northern folkmusic sound, but the music also comes across various genres. For example inspirati- on from the simple melodies of Jan Johans- son and the evocative, lyrical songs by Paul Simon. The nordic tone, simple melodics and the chamber music sound is a big part of the common sound in FABEL. The debut album will be released as a Visual Album and CD on the label Jaeger Commu- nity Music. The album has been made in col- laboration with the video artist André Han- sen who has produced a visual experience for the whole album.

All About Jazz needs your support

Donate
All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
