Album Description

A brand new piece of jewelry elaborated by Phil Abraham and his 8 pure jazz and acoustic stars. A meeting between 4 incredible pianists, often fellow travellers of the leader in the past, and the percussionist Luc Vanden Bosch is making a whole new concept of this record, and the evolution of Phil's international career. The trombonist and singer performed in many countries, several times in the US (Seattle, NY, Los Angeles) and lately in China. His reputation is well established both as sideman (Michel Petrucciani, Clark Terry, Art Farmer, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Charles Aznavour, ...) and as leader (11 albums under his name), but also as professor of his own instrument (Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, lots of workshops and master classes all around). The great complicity and friendship bonding him with Ivan Paduart, Bas Bulteel, Johan Clement and Christoph Mudrich, just brought the album and Phil Abraham a new step forward to the achievement of his own personal and singular style in the current Jazz landscape. This progress made is the direct consequence of many different experiences: his tours and recordings with the NJO (National Jazz Orchestra) but also his work with outsiders like Michel Legrand, Mino Cinelu, Henri Texier, Lucky Peterson ... making him a singular and unique soloist.
