Franck Avitabile

Franck Avitabile was born November 1971 in Lyon, France. At age 9 Franck’s musical education started when he entered the Conservatory of Lyon. He holds a Phd in “Mathématique et Informatique Fondamentales” from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Franck is the only musician whom the late piano master Michel Petrucciani produced for a record and on stage. Recently, Avitabile played and recorded with electro-jazz artists and has decided to pursue both careers, being open to all music genres, including pop and classical. As of today, Franck Avitabile has played over 800 concerts, and has been invited to about thirty countries. Franck plays Steinway Pianos, Fender Rhodes & Nord Lead Synthetiser.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
