Gerald Bailey

Chicago trumpeter and composer Gerald Bailey draws from a wide range of musical styles to deliver a fresh new sound. He holds a Bachelors degree in trumpet from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters in composition from DePaul University. He has performed with The O'Jays, Syl Johnson, Richie Cole, Judi Silvano, Balkan clarinetist Jim Stoynoff and The Walkmen. Gerald has appeared on CNN performing at the White House, alongside Diana Krall in the 2009 movie Public Enemies and on ABC News with actor/singer Michael Ingersoll.

Credentials/Background

As an educator Gerald Bailey keeps busy teaching master classes and clinics throughout the midwest and teaches privately in the Chicago area. He is the adjunct professor of trumpet at Moraine Valley Community College and has private studios at Northwestern University in Evanston, at Lincoln Way East High School in Frankfort and at Musical Expressions and Ellman's Music in Naperville.
