Giorgio Serci

Giorgio Serci is a Sardinian born, UK based and award winning guitarist, composer, arranger and lecturer. Classically trained and with a Masters Degree in Composition, but also fluent in Jazz, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary music, Serci is a very in demand musician in the London scene as well as internationally, performing, composing and arranging for the likes of David Garrett, Basia, Nigel Kenney, Sylvain Luc, TM Stevens, Harvie S, Andy Sheppard, Martin Taylor, Julian Lloyd Webber, Paolo Fresu, Denys Baptiste, Abram Wilson, Antonio Forcione, Nawal Zoughby, BBC Concert Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt and supporting Shirley Bassey, Jools Holland and Dr John, to name but a few. Co-leader of the Bansangu Orchestra, as well as Duos, with singer Filomena Campus. His recordings include “Lo Scenario”, “Loch Ness”, “New York Sessions” “Silver Lining” and his latest “Scaramouche”. Giorgio is a renowned educator, working as columnist for iguitar magazine, Lick Library and heading the guitar department at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford.
