Album Description

Giulia Valle (composer and bass player), Marco Mezquida (piano) and David Xirgu (drums), the Giulia Valle Trio means the continuation of recognized Giulia Valle Group, but in a smaller format. Now they present us their new album "Live in San Francisco" recorded at the Jazz Festival of the North American city last June. The Giulia Valle Trio represents the total freedom of expression and interaction between its three members. Its three members know each other perfectly and seeing them and listening to them is a journey for all the senses, especially considering that the repertoire is based on music from the very creative and internationally recognized Giulia Valle. His music, intense and surprising, catches you from the first moment and takes you through all sorts of paths. It is a "live" music, full of nuances and contrasts, in which rhythmic intensity and sweeping melodies, high voltage and intimate situations intertwine, surprising the listener at all times. Giulia is today considered one of the most surprising composers of the national and international jazz scene, and a name is being forged both at European level and on the American scene.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
