Glenn Johnson

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Glenn studied percussion with Allen G. Smith, and studied music at Cass Tech High School. He joined with Dimitri Mugianis in 1977 to form Mr. Unique and the Leisure Suits (later Leisure Class).

After moving to New York, Glenn studied briefly at the Drummer's Collective, with Duduka Da Fonseca, Frank Malabe, Ricky Sebastian and Bob Weiner. He later studied privately with the great Joe Morello.

Glenn's compositions have been featured on WGPR-TV and WGPR-FM; The Better Than Average Stupid Variety Show; Night Light TV; the videos Concrete, Arachnovision, Silent Voices, and Paul William Hodge; and the documentary film I'm Dangerous With Love.
