Harrison Steingueldoir

Born in Knokke-Heist in 1995, Harrison Steingueldoir grew up with music. His father played guitar and his mother started piano when he was 6 years old. Hearing the sound of the piano, made him want to play just like her. This encouraged him to go to an art school of music. He took classical piano lessons at deKunstAcademie in Knokke when he was 8 years old. After 4 years of classical training, he had the option choosing between Jazz and/or Classical pianolessons. He took both, but after 1 extra year of classical music, he stopped. Today he is doing jazz piano for 4 years now. Harrison takes jazz piano lessons with Werner Meert and theory lessons with Janos Bruneel. He has already had combo lessons with Vincent Brijs ,Werner Meert, Janos Bruneel, Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Mike Rossi and private lessons with Free Desmyter. In the summer of 2010 he went to jazz clinics such as Wépion and Halewyn where he could meet great teachers like Ewout Pierreux, Christoph Erbstösser, Ivan Paduart, Ron Van Rossum and Erik Vermeulen. He will participate to both clinics again in the summer of 2011.
