Ian Evans

Ian is a professional drummer and percussionist from the South West of England. Years of playing experience is backed up with a solid musical education. Whatever the gig, Ian's professional performance and attitude are what you need, along with the great feel only created by a live drummer!

If you're looking for a new drummer for your band, a dep for some gigs, a session guy for some studio work, someone to record you some high quality drum tracks or someone to play for a theatrical show or musical, you're in the right place.

My playing career began at the tender age of 3. Hailing from a musical family I don't think I had much of a choice in the matter! Since then, I've worked with numerous bands live, in the studio, in panto, musicals and stage shows.

Along with playing live, I have a limited number of slots for private tution. If you're in the Bridgwater area and are looking for lessons, please contact me. Beginner to advanced students are welcome.

As well as drumming, I am experienced in using a range of computer-based recording software, live sound engineering and studio engineering.

Ian is proud to be a Roland Teacher Ambassador and a JHS KeyPlayer.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
