Album Description

Andy Wasserman pays tribute in his signature solo piano style to a theme of “The Inside Track”- that internal path that leads us back to our original Essence. Each original composition is presented with the intention to uplift and inspire the listener in the spirit of holistic music healing. The Contemporary Jazz compositions presented are: 1) Safekeeping 2) Countenance 3) Intonation 4) Lifeblood 5) Distillation 6) Indigenous 7) Guardianship 8) Undertone This album was recorded live during a live stream concert event on Sunday, December 5, 2020. Musical Artist and Pianist Andy Wasserman presents these eight original compositions, arranged and performed by him live on a 1924 Steinway Model “M” piano. His compositions, arrangements, unique interpretations and self-realized piano style merges rhythmic invention and elegant harmonies, standing as a living tribute to the tradition of virtuoso elegance, past and present. A passionately devoted educator, Wasserman is a certified instructor of The Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization by George Russell (LCCOTO). Musical speaking, these piano pieces pay respect and homage to George Russell’s Modal Jazz Theory, resonating with the consciousness of the tonal gravity field. All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
