Her concert performances are met with rave reviews and sold-out audiences each and every time she takes the stage.
On Saturday night in Hollywood CA., I witnessed an amazing evening of music by jazz vocalist, Jacki DePiro. The hour set was a performance of songs from DePiro's new release Where I Hang My Hat Is Home, out in 2006 on JaRic Records, Los Angeles.
Jacki handled each tune with the poise and control of every great like Nancy Wilson, Ella and newer artists like Diana Krall but what this Diva has that most Jazz singers lack is a belt voice that rivals Celine Dion and Mariah Carey. And like Nancy Wilson, she's physically beautiful! I was thrilled too at how great her band was, led by brother and pianist Rick DePiro who wrote the title cut for this new CD as well as two other cuts, arranged and also produced the CD
