Jake Hanlon

Canadian Guitarist, Composer and Educator Jake Hanlon has, in a short span of time established himself as one of the brightest up-and-coming talents in Canadian Jazz.

Hanlon's music has been quoted as “...Beautiful writing and playing....LOOKOUT.....wonderful” by Jazz Guitar Maestro Vic Juris. NEA Jazz Master Curtis Fuller called Hanlon a “Smooth Rider.” Composer and Jazz Guitar Legend John Abercrombie stated “... Jake's tunes are a whole other thing” and Grammy nominated Composer/Arranger Phil Kelly noted Hanlon's writing as “fresh and exciting.”

Hanlon is also a recording artist having released his debut Album “Follow” on Armored Records in the Fall of 2010 which features 8 original Jazz compositions as well as plans in the pipeline for a Jazz Trio album and another recording with his Brother, Jazz Pianist Josh Hanlon sometime in the near future.
