James Dower

James Dower was raised in Marlboro, Massachusetts, and attended Boston's Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Film Scoring. In 2005, James relocated to New York City, where he now resides with his girlfriend, artist Kim Glanze and their Lhasa Apso 'Nina'. A pianist and composer, James has written music for film and television that has been played on MTV's "Cribs" as well as in NASCAR promos and independent films. James has traveled the world and performed as a professional sideman to the stars, on stage and television with popular artists such as Sam 'Soul Man' Moore, Sting, Elvis Costello, Ne-Yo, Wynonna and a long list of others. James is set to release his new solo piano CD 'Reinvention' in the Fall of 09.

James Dower and his cohorts have put out a fine modern piano trio album. Featuring six originals and two standards they assault the play list with a combination of aggression and sensitivity that works. Clearly it is their intent show listeners that they are wizards at what they do and manage to be convincing.
