Jason Crowe

Well traveled both geographically and musically, bassist and composer Jason Crowe has had the good fortune to perform with a variety of artists in many different genres of music. Originally from Vancouver, WA Jason attended Eastern Washington University where he studied Bass with Roma Vayspapir. Jason has performed or recorded with Marvin Stamn, Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, The New York Voices, Micheal Abene, Crystal Gayle, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Wynona Judd, Celine Dion, and CeCe Winans. He has also performed at the Monterrey Jazz Festival, The Clearwater Jazz Festival, The Montreux Jazz Festival, The Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland, The North Sea Jazz Festival, The Vail Jazz Festival, The Telluride Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. As a former member of the USAF Academy Band in Colorado Springs, Colorado Jason has recorded extensively with and is a former group leader of the Falconaires 18-piece jazz big band including projects featuring the music of Sammy Nestico, the Grammy recognized recording, Sharing The Freedom and the most recent recording by the band, The Long Blue Line.. He has also been a member and group leader for the Air Force Academy Band Country/Pop Band, Wild Blue Country. As an educator, Jason is in demand as a bass and jazz instructor. He has taught at Colorado State University Pueblo as an adjunct Bass instructor from 2007-20014 and was a Guest Artist in residence at Adams State University from 2010-2012. He is a frequent clinician and/or guest artist for high school and college jazz groups around the country. Jason’s students have been either the Colorado All- State Jazz Band bassist or alternate and in some years both since 2010. Jason has also performed on many recording projects featuring local Colorado Springs Artists including Ricky Sweum, The Hennessy Six, Mike Sunjka, Colin McCalister, Mike Van Arsdale, Wayne Wilkinson, Henrique De Almeida and the Steve Wilson project. Jason is a regular performer with the Worship Band at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs and is the current house bassist at the Penorse Room in the Broadmoor Hotel with the Lila Mori trio.
