DWJazz Records presents KALEIDOSCOPE, the debut album of the Jason Hainsworth Jazz Orchestra.

Jason Hainsworth, is steadily gaining a reputation as a saxophonist to be taken seriously.

Since his childhood in Houston, Texas, Jason forged his talents performing professionally in New Orleans, Atlanta and New York.

Jason's opportunities allowed him to perform with and learn from many of today's Jazz luminaries, such as Ellis Marsallis, Victor Goines, Todd Coolman, Gary Smulyan, Marcus Printup, Wycliff Gordon, Kevin Bales, Rodney Jordan, Bill Peterson, Russell Gunn, and Leon Anderson.

In addition to his outstanding and memorable performances, Jason is a talented composer and an inspiring educator. While continuing to perform with his own quartet, Jason continues to cultivate a vibrant jazz program at Broward Community College as Director of Jazz Ensembles and saxophone instruction at Broward Community College in Davie, Florida

Originally penned for a student big band, educator/saxophonist Jason Hainsworth, Director of Jazz Studies at Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, took his charts to New York, assembled a first-rate orchestra, added some special guests and recorded a compelling big band debut with the impressive Kaleidoscope. An attention-grabbing album for sure, Hainsworth's first effort includes original compositions and arrangements, as well as creative new readings of classic standards from Cole Porter, Edward Heyman/Victor Young and Arthur Schwartz.
