Mr. Klobnak is a versatile trumpet player that has been performing as an active musician, author, clinician, composer and educator. His bands, the JKQ (Jason Klobnak Quartet/Quintet) and J's Ruckus have released 5 albums that have done well on Jazzweek charts, Top 10 lists on international radio stations, and multiple positive reviews.
They are Denver's blend of post-bop, indie jazz, neo r&b, and hip-hop. J's Ruckus performs infectious and up-lifting originals for audiences hungry for a unique Jazz experience.
Mr. Klobnak also the trumpet and brass instructor at Arapahoe Community College, have released two very well reviewed Jazz improvisation books, do clinics, perform, and keep a steady teaching studio both in- person and on Skype. Mr. Klobnak holds a bachelor degree from Drake University (Des Moines, IA) and a Master’s degree from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music (Denver, CO)
