Javier Feltrer

Composer and multi-instrumentalist (Saxophone, clarinets, flute, piano and accordion player) whose work goes around jazz and other creative music styles. His original music includes certain eclecticism and influences from classical music to rock. He started his studies at the age of 8 and finished his formation with his degrees in Composition and Performance, expanding his jazz training at several seminars and master- classes with Perico Sambeat, Jerry Bergonzi, Bob Mintzer, Mark Turner, Seamus Blake, Bruce Barth, Jason Palmer, Jorge Pardo, etc. His style has been constantly improved by the performance of a long number of styles ( post-bop and modern jazz, fussion, manouche, dixieland, funk, latin, flamenco, classical, oriental, progressive rock, mediterranean folk...) including the performance of his own compositions, and with his work as a session musician. He has worked regurarly with some music shows producers as arranger, composer, band leader and performer, inside the field of musical theatre and others. Since 2019, Feltrer is the professor of harmony and history in the jazz studies at the Valencia Conservatory.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
