Jazz Pistols

It has only taken the Jazz Pistols a few short years to establish their very own individual sound and to attract the attention of music fans to their “Energy Jazz”. Each group member is an accomplished musician with his individual style, and the band combines their diverse talents into an exciting whole featuring varied self-compositions, arrangements rich in texture, and infectious solo performances. It is surprising for a band of this composition to show such expressiveness, variety of style and versatility; the reason why the Jazz Pistols captivate their audiences with this compactness and flexibility.

It is little wonder that the band has drawn such critical acclaim when you examine the achievements of its individual members. Stefan Ivan Schäfer was ranked amongst the best German guitarists on the guitar sampler “Adventures in Guitar Land”. Christoph Victor Kaiser was recipient of a scholarship from the renowned Berklee College of Music/Boston in the U.S.A. Last but not least is Thomas Lui Ludwig who through his work with the Jule Neigel Band, Uwe Ochsenknecht and Chaka Kahn has joined ranks with the elite of German drummers for quite some time.

As impressive as these musical credits may be, the Jazz Pistols real strengths can be best appreciated when they perform live, on which occasions their audiences are assured of an unforgettable evening. Their CDs were enthusiastically received by the media, and are now being sold worldwide by Cherrytown Records.

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
