Jen Krupa
Jen has performed with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, David Berger’s Sultans of Swing, the Wycliffe Gordon Quintet/Sextet, Joe Lovano, Branford Marsalis, Nancy Wilson, Johnny Mandel, Chris Potter, Bill Watrous, Christian McBride, Eddie Daniels, Arturo Sandoval and numerous others. She has performed in extensively in North America, as well as in Asia, Europe, and South America, and can be heard on recordings by Wycliffe Gordon, Johnny Mandel, Ann Hampton Calloway, the Blue Saracens, Brooks Tegler and Eva Cassidy, along with several recordings by the Commodores.
Jen is also in-demand composer and arranger. In 2006, Jen conducted the University of Scranton Concert Band and Choir in a performance of her compositions, commissioned for the 23rd Annual World Premier Composition Series Concert. Her arrangement of “Freight Trane” is included on the Commodores 2005 recording The Commodores: 3 Shades of Blue, and her arrangement of “Four On Six” is on their latest CD, Directions.
