Jeppe Zeeberg

Jeppe Zeeberg was born in 1988. His style is a personal, uncompromising blend of genres, based in jazz and free improvisation. His first album in his own name, It's The Most Basic Thing You Can Do On A Boat (2014) was called “A beautiful, convincing proposal for how modern jazz or contemporary music may sound” by All About Jazz. The Danish Arts Council honored the album with an award naming it one of the seven best Danish releases in 2014.

In 2017 his third album, The Four Seasons, was released – also to positive reviews. Canadian Textura Magazine wrote: “It's impossible to know what the next piece will bring until it arrives, which is in itself something rare and worth celebrating. Whereas many a recording quickly lapses into predictability, Zeeberg's, which travels from Denmark to Memphis and New Orleans like it's the most natural thing in the world, offers one surprise after another.”

Jeppe Zeeberg has a master's degree in music from Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen (2013). He is a member of the record label and musicians collective Barefoot Records and plays in the bands Dødens Garderobe, Kresten Osgood Quintet and Horse Orchestra. He has collaborated with international performers like John Tchicai, composed music for theater and dance performances, and co-organized events like John Cage's 100th Birthday Concert and the festival Moondog 100 År

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
