Jerry Pellegrino Jerry Pellegrino

Jerry Pellegrino grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey (USA).  A born musician, he started taking piano lessons at age 8.  In high school he added drums to his repertoire, and with his brother Jim went on to study at the prestigious Harlem Jazz Mobile in New York.

Jerry moved out to the West coast in 1979, where he quickly established himself as a performer and teacher in the Los Angeles area.  Still only in his 20's, he appeared in the 1984 Summer Olympics opening ceremonies,

For the last 25 years, Jerry has been dedicated to teaching full time, bringing his love of music to the next generation of performers.  Jerry is a firm believer in the power of music to better the lives of those less fortunate than he.

Since 2011, he has headlined annual benefit concerts at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, in order to raise money for the R.B. Union High School band and music program.  For the last 25 years, Jerry has been dedicated to teaching full time, bringing his love of music to the next generation of performers.  Jerry is a firm believer in the power of music to better the lives of those less fortunate than he.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
