John Blevins John Blevins

Born in Michigan, raised in Indiana, and now home in New York City, trumpeter and composer John Blevins has performed and/or recorded with Matterhorn, Line of Sight, Wing Walker Orchestra, Drew Williams Nonet, Cerebral People Project, Festival of New Trumpet Music, Trumpet City, Out of Your Head Brooklyn, iconiQ: The Soundtrack Orchestra, Noah & the MegaFauna, Spirit Animal, Morningsiders, Atomic Funk Project, Brooks Frederickson, Leave a Lasting Mark, and Actionplay among others.

John's latest original project, MATTERHORN, released its debut album on pfMENTUM records in November 2015. Line of Sight's 2012 album Observant Bystander features nine of John's original compositions for jazz quintet. John is a producer for Wing Walker Music and curates the Music for Wing Walkers concert series.
